Type of Experience Desired: Providing customer service and scheduling resources in a call-based environment
Location: Columbia SC (onsite everyday)
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 - 10:30 PM EST)
Pay: $16 hourly
Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing efficient and professional Health provider and service information through inbound telephone lines, outbound call campaigns, and electronic interactions. The Physician Finder Specialist manages connections between callers and physician practices and/or healthcare services for appointments. The primary role is to provide accurate providers referrals to the caller and schedule new patient appointments. This position must maintain excellent knowledge of Health physicians and practices. Calls are answered timely, complaints and errors are addressed, and physician referrals are accurate, documented, and converted.

Typing skills: proficient data entry while talking to callers
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, databases

Job Responsibilities: (Included but not limited to)
- Answers high volume phone calls
- Demonstrates professional telephone technique with strong focus on professional communication and knowledge of health providers and services
- Utilizes multiple systems and navigates between screens quickly, logically and efficiently during calls
- Maintains a high level of accuracy in all data collection and entry into applications with appropriate documentation
- Asks clarifying questions to identify the caller's need
- Accurately enters patient's demographic information, schedules appointments, and documents encounters in the electronic medical record, adhering to protocols set forth by practice providers
- Accountable for physician/consumer relations, exercising respect and confidentiality at all times
- Supports and collaborates closely with other team members and supervisor to expand knowledge of Health referrals, services, and department best practices.
